One of Alvar Aalto’s lesser-known works, Villa Kokkonen, is open to the public from May to September

Alvar Aalto designed Villa Kokkonen for his close friend, renowned Finnish composer Joonas Kokkonen. Designed as both a home and a composer’s studio, Villa Kokkonen is unique among Aalto’s works. During our guided tours, you’ll get to hear how this project came about, listen to the unique acoustic quality of the music room, see some unique light fixtures designed by Aalto, and more.

Guided tours in English are organized at Villa Kokkonen daily from Tuesday to Sunday. We recommend that you book a spot in advance on our website.
