Huutoniemi Nature Trail

The Huutoniemi Nature Trail is located on the shore of Lake Kyynämöinen, about two kilometers from the village of Kyynämöinen. The starting point of the trail is near the Huutoniemi cabin. The trail can also be accessed from SF-Caravan Hietasaari.

This 1.8-kilometer-long nature trail winds through a bright pine forest on a ridge, offering beautiful lake views. Especially at the beginning of the trail, there are stunning views of the lake. Along the trail, you can learn about different lichen species with the help of information boards.

There is a campfire site along the nature trail, where you can enjoy a peaceful picnic. The wide and even trail also has resting benches. Remember to stay on the marked trail, as the lichen-covered slopes are fragile and cannot withstand heavy foot traffic.

Huutoniemi is a recreational area intended for public use, and the buildings on the site are owned by the municipality of Uurainen. The Huutoniemi cabin can be rented from the municipality from May to September.
