The Ice chapel

Our uniquely carved Ice chapel has a long aisle with seats for around 40 guests (there is more space for the guests to stand at the back of the chapel). The temperature at Ice chapel is around 0 – -5ºC, so when planning your wedding dress, please remember that you need to dress warmly for the ceremony! Ice chapel weddings are possible between 15th of December to 31st March.

Official ceremonies and renewing vows

We offer the possibility for official ceremonies, and ceremonies can be arranged for renewing your vows as well. It is also possible to hire the Ice chapel separately for the ceremony alone. We can arrange a priest from a Lutheran church, or even arrange for the Ice Princess or Santa Claus to perform the ceremony.

The easiest way to arrange a wedding in Lapland is to book a wedding package and let us take care of the arrangements. Our basic wedding package includes the Ice chapel & decoration with candles, alcoholic toast in ice glass, entrance to the Arctic SnowHotel, wedding coordination services, marriage officer from register office to perform the ceremony, assistance with legal documents, marriage certificate.

If you are already married and wish to have a symbolic ceremony or renew your vows, we have the perfect wedding package for you. The ceremony can be performed by the Ice Princess, Santa Claus or priest from a Lutheran church.
